Glyndŵrs Way
Glyndŵrs Way opened on the 19th April, 2002 when cricket legend, Ian Botham - no mean walker himself, cut the ribbon before starting his walk to Cardiff for charity. Later that morning Wales Third National Trail was officially opened by the Minister for the Environment in Machynlleth, and plaques unveiled later in the day at the start of the walk in Knighton by the Lord Lieutenant of Powys, and at the end of the Walk in Welshpool by Broadcaster, Iolo Williams.
Glyndŵrs Way is a 132 mile route that passes through some of the finest scenery in Wales.
Why not walk the entire trail, and stay with us at Hendomen Farmhouse. We can pick up and drop off each day - all points on Glyndŵrs Way are within one hour - a great nine day walk or complete by walking Offa's Dyke Path - the best bit (in our opinion) from Knighton to Welshpool, to make a memorable fortnight. In conjunction with Montgomery Taxi Company (07977-589285) we can also offer a Transport Service along Glyndŵr's Way from Llanbrynmair to Welshpool. A minimum party is three for this service to make it economical.
A list of accommodation along Glyndŵrs Way is now available from the Offas Dyke Association. Visit their website at
